Project Plans

Well, I guess I owe you all an apology since it has been so long since I have blogged.  I've been extremely busy with softball, Job's Daughters, and homework.  I've been kind of tired, but I've slept the exhaustion off since this week is my Spring Break.

In spite of my break, I am getting together with my group members (except for the one member who is in Iran) to work a little on our Shakespearean project.  We have to take a scene from Romeo and Juliet and create a skit translating it to another time period.  We also have to perform that skit in front of the English class.  That part will be the most nervewracking since I am terrified of speaking in front of people.  Well, I suppose I will have to conquer that fear eventually.  Why not sooner rather than later?

I suppose I had better go.  I'm leaving for my friend's house in about 45 minutes.  I hope you've been enjoying my blog.  I'll post again soon.

One Crazy Week!

It certainly has been one crazy week with softball tryouts and homework!  It's really hard for me to balance all of it.  However, I've actually managed to finish all of my assignments on time.  I'm so tired.

Softball tryouts started Monday.  We did so much running.  We did basic warm-up drills.  The next day's tryouts were cancelled on account of bad weather.  I was so grateful.  Wednesday, tryouts continued.  It was much better.  We didn't run so much, but we did hit and run a few new drills.  I'd say it had been a really difficult tryout.  I'm glad that I went to some of the conditioning because if I hadn't, the running might have killed me.  Fortunately, I was not disappointed when tryouts ended that night with no cuts being made.  The team had enough uniforms and thought it best to have extra athletes.  Our high school's softball team usually loses a few members before the first game.

Practice began Thursday.  It wasn't as bad as I had originally thought it was going to be.  We got the team fundraiser (Longaberger basket bingo) tickets.  I tried as hard as ever that night.  All of us have made the team, but we won't be grouped into teams for a few weeks.  In the meantime, we are supposed to be working to make Varsity.  Well, I tried so hard at one point, I hurt my right wrist running backwards.  It hurts more today than it originally did.  I was stupid enough to do push-ups on my wrist.  Practice was cancelled today.  I'm pretty happy about that.  I'm ridiculously tired.

School was hectic this week.  I think my teachers are conspiring against me.  I've had a lot of homework lately.  It has not helped that I have had two hours of softball everyday this week.  My Spanish teacher, especially, likes to give a large amount of homework every night.  I've got to figure out how to get my homework done in a reasonable amount of time.  I'm exhausted.

Well, I need to get ready to go to my friend's birthday sleepover.  I'm not looking forward to it especially.  She and I don't really hang out with the same types of people.  A lot of her friends are from different schools too.  (Her elementary school usually leads to another middle school than she attended with me because of the academic track called Gifted and Talented.)  I've got to get her a gift, and take a nap before I leave.  Everyone knows that sleep-overs and wake-a-thons are the same thing.  I'll post again soon.  Enjoy!

Sleepily yours,

~Rustie~

Welcome Wretched Weather!

I don't think I have ever been so greatful for bad weather in my life.  That's probably due to my being so tired from softball tryouts yesterday.  I've also been stressed out all day because I couldn't get my homework done last night after tryouts.  Softball tryouts and knowledge masters got cancelled.  I was happy to hear that because I was exhausted and beginning to wonder how I would ever get my homework done after tryouts.  I suppose I should go do my homework and check in on my niece as she has pinkeye.

By the way, feel free to participate in the polls and comment on every aspect of my blog.  I hope you like it.  In the event that you don't, however, please let me know what you might like to see.  I'm going to sign off now.
