In my hot little hands I have the book I've been most excited about this summer ... well, after 'Harry Potter.' 'Eclipse' is the third installment in Stephenie Meyer's vampire love saga, and her books are, hands down, the #1 most-recommended books by readers of this blog. I was instantly sucked into the world of 'Twilight' when it was published in 2005 and spent a solid day of a vacation last year devouring 'New Moon.'
Meyer's world is believable but fantastic, innocent yet sexy. She was bold enough to take the series in a way I never would have expected, in only the second book. I'm trying to savor 'Eclipse' by reading it slowly, hoping that no one would try to spoil this the way that YouTube fiends love to spoil the 'Potter' books an instant after they go on sale. For some reason Meyer's books don't get an ounce of the press that J.K. Rowling gets, and it seems like Meyer's fans are at least as devoted as Rowling's. I'm going to blame the fact that there's no real title for the series. Yeah, that's it.
So I know you guys love these books. Are you reading the new one? Are you already finished and rereading it for the 7th time already? I know how it goes with these, 'cause I'm pretty much the same way. There would never have been enough Harry, Ron and Hermione, and there will probably never be enough Bella and Edward, either. Just promise they're going to make out some more.

I have read all three books and they are amazing and not exactly patiently, but waiting for the release of the must anticipated next release of Meyer's next two books in the series.

I absolutely love eclipse! I'm blind busy but every second I get I read this book.I'm not even half way done but, It is amazing!!
Ever since i read twilight and newmoon, i couldn't wait for eclipse. My friend and i would count the days till it came out, and X them on our calendars. we just fell in love with edward and bella and jacob and all the rest of the cullens. stephenie meyer is a great writer and she puts so much detail in to her books. I can't imagine how hard it would be to describe all the thoughts and feelings that bella would have, but she did a great job. Also she did a wonderful job developing the characters, so that you feel that you know them and you feel like your in the story, instead of just reading about them and not really knowing the characters traits, feelings, or reactions.
Im so glad i started reading the twilight series.

I tried to read it slowly so that it wouldn't be upsetting when i finished it, but that didn't work out so good. I am reallyy mad that we have to wait until fall of next year to get the next one. blahhh. Did you hear that Stephenie Meyer is writing Edward's version on Twilight? It's going to be called Midnight Sun, and it's not coming out until Next year either. waaaah. I can't wait. Anybody know any other good books to read until then, since I've already finished Harry Potter (another bummer.) thankss!

Im 13yrs old and i can not wait to read eclipse! I borrowed twilight from my neighbor and it was so good i was scrabling to go to the library to read the other book new moon..Eclipse is definitly going 2 b awsome!
OMG! The day Eclipse went on sale I rode my bike to Barnes & Noble and bought it! I don't want to give any thing away for those who havn't finished it, but it was GREAT! I've read Twilight 5 times & New Moon 3! Im working on my 2nd time around on Eclipse! I just can't get enough! I hate reading books more than once but these are an acception! I agree with you that we aren't less devoted. Its just they don't sell worldwide ( do they? ). Some thimes i read these books and I'm crying. I look at myself and say," I'm crying for a girl whose boyfriend is a vampire and best friend is a werewolf! She has SERIOUS mythical creature issues! But its still incredibly romantic and intriguing ( sorry about the spelleing )!
THESE BOOKS ARE THE BEST!! and you dont have to be a nerd to read it like you do with harry potter!!

I'm not embarrassed to say that I"M TOTALLY in love with Edward!! I was really dissappointed, though, in "Eclipse" I really HATE Jacob, and now I'm not so sure about Bella.
Stephanie Meyer made a good point on "GMA." She was talking about Rowlings' fans and her fans. Rowling fans are really into it, but Meyers fans are OBSESSED!!! ANd it's soo right. I was reallly disappointed, though, but it's good to hear that me and my sister aren't the only ones obsessed with with "Twilight." As long as Meyer keeps writing, I'll be happy! =D
OMG I LOVE THE "TWILIGHT SERIES" I can't get enough! I'm on like my 6th time reading them (2nd for Eclipse... I got it the day it came out and I read for hours straight pretty much staying in my room except to eat... I LOVE EDWARD!!!! I'm also already done w/ HP7 which was also amazing...
I even have a Twilight Backback.... (a pic of a rose and "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb" quote on it) Anyway they rock and I have recommended the books to EVERY ONE of my friends!

I love the Twilight series books! I started reading the books when some of my friends recommended them to me. i couldn't put Twilight down when i first read it!!! it was sooo good. Then i read New Moon and i loooved it too!! And then i had to wait for Eclipse :( But it was soooo worth the wait! I got the first day and read the whole thing! I keep re-reading the books over and over again!!! I love Edward!!! I really hope they do make it into a movie. It'll be AWESOME!!

I actually have "New Moon."
Originally I wanted to get "Twilight" but when I came back with money they were out.
I haven't read "New Moon" yet because I want to read "Twilight" first but I've heard a lot of hype about them.
I LOVE - LOVE - LOVE this serious and just cant wait to get the new book ahhh i am going to go crazy if i dont get my hands on it soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I devoured this book in two days, eating up the triangular romance of Jacob Bella and Edward! I cannot wait for her other ones, this should truly get as much fan base as J.K. Rowlins. But I think it does'nt because it's a romance book and I only know two guys who would want to settle down with a 'good ol romance' story.
I was lucky enough to meet Stephenie Meyer and got all my books signed (hee hee!!!). Her world is amazing. I'm still praying to find my Edward, but for now Edward is ALL MINE.
This book was the sexiest yet, I have to admit. But like Cari said-in a innocent way.
I really hope we get to see Bella's wedding. I would do anything fot that!!!

Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse are the best books I've ever read I cry, no sob! when I read them and I feel heart broken at the end of every book. IThere has been talk of making them into movies, but I desperatly hope they're not true. Film could never do these books justice.

these books are utterly and compellingly awesome. i have a friend who doesn't read much at all, but completely devours this series. LOVE IT. LOVE IT x8000. i love edward most, but jacob is close. and i'm guilty to loving the "racy" scenes. i kno it's not real, but their passion and love is so powerful to me, because it goes beyond life and death...it's just infinite. whoever hasn't read these books, do it. boys too, as they could learn somethings from edward, such as how to teach every girl like a princess.
i'm counting down to the fourth.

I'm so in love with Meyer's characters. This book sucked me in and i have to say it's in close competition with Harry Potter. Her characters are real and believable, although I'm slightly dissapointed about Bella, who is not a very strong person. I think that she is too drawn into Edward's looks. But, altogether I think it's a perfect romance with a touch of suspense. Stephanie Meyer deserves much more credit and publicity for her books. I will pantiently, (well not really.) Wait for the next installment of this enthralling series.

I read the lists of books that help the PostPotterGrief syndrome and checked some of them out. I read 'A Great and Terrible Beauty' by Libba Bray and it was realllly good. I started 'The Midnighters' my Scott Westerfield but I haven't godden far enough to decide if I like it yet. But I have a feeling I will because Westerfield is a good writer. I love the 'Uglies' series.
I finished 'Eclipse' and it was reallly good. I can't wait for 'Breaking Dawn'

well, hello there.
anyways staright to the point. u r so lucky to get to read eclipse. unfortunatley for moi, i live in london. well that's not so unfortunate only when it come to book releases as they come out first in the states. and i am an avid reader. my life depends on books, without them. where would we be? it's not thank you for the music but thank you for the books. but anyways, i know i'm not very funny. well, i am a HUGE stephenie meyer fan. i live for the twilight series. but you know what, i think they are gonna ruin the whole book by making a film of it!!! who is gonna be edward i ask??? no one if perfect enough!!!!!!!!!! well, when i read i ahve this bubble which menas thta no one cna dare enter my space as they will burst the bubble an di will refuse to spek to them. when i read, i am in the book, i feel the characters feelings, i scream and shout infornt of the character when it is being blind and stupid, i cry with the character, and i radiate happiness with it. right in fornt of it. yet it does not see me, or lsiten to me. we ar ein the same world yet we don't breathe the same air. then i realsie, ah, yes, life is not like in the movies or books. becasue unlike them, sometimes poeple don't get their happily ever after, or happy ending. life is real and we live it.yes relaity floods back but my imaginationa nd my day dremaing...also my frieds and choclate manages to keep me sane.
