I was not impressed by the red carpet trends this week. I know that last week, a lot of you thought I got it all wrong, so be sure to post a comment and let me know what you think of these outfits.
First up is Tyra Banks. I am all for metallic (especially copper) with Tyra's gorgeous skin tone. But this dress made her look as though she spun around while someone held up copper-colored foil. And viola ... a dress! I know Tyra is all about looking fierce, but this outfit was just ferocious. Yikes! Grade: F
I am actually a pretty big Avril Lavigne fan and although I love her individuality, this outfit was just OK for me. The school girl outfit in bold plaid with a lace hemline was cute, and the striped socks and red shoes were a great accent, but the Canadian sweatshirt was just a bit cheesy to me. Perhaps I am totally off here, and I have nothing against Canadians (especially the ones I met in Punta Cana ... hiya guys!), but it just seemed unnecessary. It was an OK outfit, but I think she could have done better. Grade: B
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore hit the red carpet this week, and their outfits really weren't all that memorable. I mean, where have they been? Seems like we haven't seen them in ages. Ashton wore jeans, a red sweater with a black shirt underneath and a newsboy cap. Demi wore this blah dress with some embroidery around the top. All in all, they were just boring. Perhaps they are becoming too comfortable in their relationship. They need some drama. Grade: C
I really love the mod print of Hilary Duff's dress, but I am not a huge fan of trapeze dresses. They make celebrities look as though they are wearing a colorful potato sack. I mean, am I the only one that thinks this trend is so not cute? What was the deal with the random black box at the bust? And speaking of the bust ... holy hell, the girls are HUGE. When did that happen? Did she go under the knife? The neutral pumps were a good choice and the large gold earrings were a great touch. Grade: D

These will be harder to comment on as I really wasn't thrilled with any of the outfits shown! They weren't horrible but not great either!! Not a fantastic week for the red carpet I guess!! Okay, here we go..........
Tyra - I know she was trying for classy elegance here but I think it's too much. A little less puffy would have been much better as well as one type of "sleeve". I don't like one side with a shoulder strap and one without on this particular dress. I think if it had the shoulder straps on both sides it would have been much more elegant (even strapless on both would have been better than one of each). The material is nice and the color is great on her like you said - it really compliments her skin tone. I'll give it a D for at least getting the last 2 right!
Avril - I agree that the Canadian sweatshirt ruined an otherwise unique and hot outfit! The skirt is adorable and she got all the accessories right on, the tights, socks and shoes look fantastic - if only she chose a plain, black sweatshirt!! I give her a C.
Ashton and Demi - They totally clash here!! He has the relaxed look which is fine but next to her in the dress it doesn't look right. He could have spiffed it up a bit with a nice pair of black pants and lost the messy white around the collar. The sweater is dead on with the accents on her dress and the black shirt underneath adds some spunk to the sweater - get rid of the white and clean up around the collar and I think they would have looked perfect! I love her dress, simple but not boring and of course she looks great in it with her amazing figure! I have to say they rate a C+.
Hillary Duff - Well, she just made a bad choice here! I too like the mod print of the dress but the cut, material and style does nothing for her. The material looks like my Grandma's old curtains - very heavy and stiff with a slight shine to it. If it were a lighter material and a bit more loose and flowy it would have looked cute. And the random black box on the bust - I thought it was an editing "block out" of her suddenly large "girls" until I read your comment - what the heck is up with that??? What a shame because she really nailed the hair, make up, earrings and shoes but that doesn't matter when the dress is bad! Sorry Hil, I gotta go with an F here!!!

Okay, first of all here are my grades. After I say those I will explain why you were TOTALLY wrong!
TYRA: A-
AVRIL: A++++++++++++
ASHTON: A-
DEMI: A+
HILARY: A++++++++++
First of all, Tyra. Her dress was amazing! It was cute, a great color, and an amazing design. You gave her a REALLY bad grade.
Next is Avril. The sweatshirt looked great, NOT cheesy! Her wearing it showed that she is proud of where she came from and I wish you would'nt say it was cheesy. You really need to stop offending people, it's getting really old.
Okay, now Ashton. Ashton looked really in style, an dthe outfit was great AND memorable.
And now for Demi. Demi's dress was amazing! It was the right cut & she did'nt try to wear a size 0! It was beautiful and just because it wasn't very colorful doesnt mean it was boring. Your comments about her outfit were rude and unneeded.
Last of all, Hilary. Hilary looked great! She had a beautiful dress not a garbage sack. You should stop shooting her down.
So in conclusion, please keep your rude comments to yourself and only say what we need to know.

Tyra Bank's dress has a beautiful color. Copper looks amazing on Tyra's skin tone. I just don't exactly like the style of the dress. It probably would've been better if it weren't so wrinkly. And c'mon, it is Summer people! Let's put some more color in! Tyra Banks-F+(the + for the color)

When I first looked at this dress I thought it had some sort of censor box on it because of that black square. I do love the color and the patern of the dress. It looks great with her skin! The whole "potato sack" dress trend is definately not one of my favorites.
The "dress" that Tyra wore is ok. I love the color and how it looks at the top, but the bottum is just a mess.
Avril's out fit; I don't like. I like that she went back to her fashion roots, but I like her new rocker glam edgier look.
As for Hilary, I love the dress. It's cute, and I love the colors. But personally, I think she could have gone with a different color pumps.
And for Ashton and Demi, they're dressed casual. But yet, a little sloppy. It's like they're trying to dress sloppy like Mary kate Olson, but intirely.

I didn't agree with your description so i did my own.
*Hilary's dress was so trendy and chic.she looked great in it. Plus it was form fitted which made it even better. Grade A
*Ashton and Demi's outfits weren't very great. Ashton's wasn't up to the red carpet standards. He should have worn a collared shirt underneth the sweater and combed his hair. Demi's dress was actually pretty. Except standing with her husband made her look worse. she also needed a delicate neckless and a clutch.
* Advril's outfit was unique. She could either nail it or miss. She missed. The Canadian jacket was too much. She should have worn a button down shirt with a long big necklace
* Tyra's dress was very bold. THe color was very flattering on her and so was the shape of the top. I felt that the dress was a modern elegant mixed and it should have only been elegant. THe strap shouldn't have been over the shoulder. It needs to be strapless like the other half of the dress.
I thought that avril lavignes outfit was a really good choice for her because it showed off her old punk look a long with her new more mature girly look. Overall, i thought she deserved an A on he outfit.

i personally think that hilary pulled off the trapeze dress perfectly. with her small figure it reall drew attention to all the right places like her fabulous legs and beautiful face. the black box added something that was a little funky but wasn't over the top. i love trapeze dresses and hilary did fantastic. go hilary!

Hilary's dress was AWFUL! I hate everything about it, from the shape (or lack of shape) to the weird black box. It looks like she is wearing a towel that barely covers her body. Also, she looks uncomfortable in it (who wouldn't?!) The earrings are cool, but that's not enough. Grade: F

OH. MY. GOD. You are totally right I dont think anyone looks good in a potato sack! =] The dresses are not form-fitting and dont really do anything for these girls. Some of these dresses look like lampshades. Alot of the colors/patterns are cute but would it kill them to put a cute belt around the waist? I really dont like this style ,because these celebs are hiding there features under potato sacks.

Her dress is a cute print in my opinion, but the black box made me laugh, because i thought it was censorship at first...
my vote for best goes to avirl.
Here is my opinion on these looks.
Tyra- love the color! Great for your skin tone! The neckline was a bit off- the dress is ecclectic without the one shoulder- I would stick to both shoulders or strapless. Of course, the bottom- a bit atrocious! I would've sewed it into a bubble buttom hem. Try that! Tehn it would become a strapless, metallic bubble dress- doesn't that sound great!
Avril- You're kinda pulling an old 90's look with the plaid pleated skirt and the logo jacket. Not to be mean, but it seems like a 5th grader put it together- it matches, but it still clashes! I would stick to sheer black tights- they make your legs look amazing! While fishnets work in subtle outfits and pack a punch, this is not a subtle outfit!
Ashton- The fit is all wrong! The outfit is a classic, but you should have had semi-baggy jeans, fitted sweater and the cap is hot! Love you, but the outfit could be improved!
Demi- I thought it was gorgeous! The black dress emphasized your tiny waist! The neckline & embroidery were a bit off, so fix that.
Hilary- AMAZING! Outfit of the week! The mod print was tre cute and the trapeze fit=great! It focused the attention to your beautiful face and legs. Keep up the good work!
